Fabulous Folky Black Sock Stump Doll with Character Galore.....
A face to die for
Measures 11 inches long
3 inch diameter face
Little short arms
No legs, just a stump
She is stuffed with early cotton batting which is showing through the sock material on the front of her body.
It has become ribboned
Bottom of the stump is covered with an old white stocking/sock remnant
Darker black sock comes up past her neck as shown in photos.
Red embroidered face with wonderful naive features
Dress is attached to the doll at the neck with black thread.
Arms are attached with black thread in a precarious fashion
Red dress is a lightweight fabric which has hand stitched seams and a machine stitched hem.
If you like them primitive and folky, you won't find one much better than this little ' Minnie '
