Early Brown Velvet Covered Make Do Pin Cushion on Lamp Base.....
Nice brown velvet covered make do pin cushion of a milk glass lamp base.
Measures 5 inches in height, base is 3 1/2 inches square and the pin cushion has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches.
A nice folky make do which I love. The brown velvet covered pin cushion shows some spots and a little fading. Otherwise, good.
It has a squishy sound, so it could be stuffed with sawdust.
These were made by early housewives when a lamp was broken and no longer usable. They used their ingenuity and talents to make a useful make do.
