Early Ovoid Shaped Stone Grease Jar......................
This is a very nice Early Ovoid Shaped Stone Jar which was most likely used in early kitchens to store kitchen necessities. I've seen these type jars referred to as Grease/Lard Jars.
It measures 8 inches in height, 8 inches in top diameter and 5 inches in bottom diameter.
The base of the jar is a reddish color.
The jar is in very good condition with no
cracks. It does have a couple of small chips on the inner rim of the jar.
A great piece of early stoneware to add to your kitchen accessories.
