Early Walnut Knife Box/Cutlery Tray with Cut Out Handle..................
Wonderful Early Walnut Knife Box with Cut Out Handle in good condition.
The knife box was constructed using early cut wire nails and has a center separator with a nice large cut out.
The sides and ends are canted.
Box is in excellent condition with a couple of early age cracks which do not go through the wood.
There is a little scrape or wear to the top of the handle as one would expect and a small hole which can be seen in first photo. Not sure why that is there.
Box measures a little over 12 inches long and is 8 1/2 inche wide.
The handle reaches 5 inches in height.
Nice early patina.
